HydraFacial

Why is everyone obsessed with HydraFacials? This in-office skincare treatment is performed every 15 seconds nationwide. HydraFacials effectively target common skin concerns, including dry skin, breakouts, fine lines, skin texture, and skin tone without side effects.

At Infini Cosmetic Associates, we customize your HydraFacial to treat your unique skin issues specifically. Here, we are breaking down everything you need to know about getting a HydraFacial, from what the treatment does to which types of skin will benefit the most.

What is The HydraFacial Treatment?

The HydraFacial is a medical-grade resurfacing skincare tool that clears out your pores, hydrates the skin, and provides a concentrated boost of solution-focused ingredients to help you achieve better-looking skin.

From Los Angeles to Boston, the HydraFacial is a dermatologist-recommended treatment. The treatment involves cleansing the skin, exfoliation, extracting dead skin cells, blackheads, and impurities, and hydrating the skin with serums infused with antioxidants and other skin-loving ingredients that penetrate deep below the skin’s surface. The skin treatment should be done by a licensed aesthetician or dermatology expert.

We offer our HydraFacial treatments right here in our office. The process is relaxing, completely pain-free, and renders real results. You’ll notice results immediately with zero recovery time required.

Understanding Hydradermabrasion

The tool itself is a hydradermabrasion device that’s used during the patented HydraFacial regimen – cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse the skin with intensive serums. Not sure what hydradermabrasion is? You’ve probably heard of traditional dermabrasion, the treatment that removes the outer layers of skin. Dermabrasion is a more aggressive technique than microdermabrasion, but what about hydradermabrasion?  Hydradermabrasion is a more gentle approach that uses a small vacuum to clean out pores while applying active ingredients to moisturize, brighten, and plump.

We also get asked about microneedling often. A face or body Microneedle Dermaroller is used to stimulate collagen production, tighten skin, and as a type of lymphatic drainage. This treatment is great for minimizing puffiness especially in the face & body, however, it does not provide the same results as a HydraFacial.

What Are the HydraFacial’s Skincare Benefits?

A HyraFacial treatment can drastically improve the feel and look of your skin. Benefits include a more hydrated, plump, smooth, and clear complexion. Plus, it can enhance the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, increase firmness, even skin tone, treat brown spots, and reduce large pores.

At Infini Cosmetic Associates, we incorporate HydraFacial treatments with LED lights to provide even more customized skincare solutions. Blue LED can help destroy acne, while Red and Green LED helps reduce the look of wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin. If you’re interested in LED light therapy in conjunction with your HydraFacial treatment, talk to Dr. Hall to learn more.

What Skin Type is The HydraFacial Treatment Best For?

One of the biggest appeals of the HydraFacial is that it can help improve skin texture, appearance, and tone for various skin types. The treatment works by deeply exfoliating the skin to clean deep into your pores, remove existing debris, and allowing tailored products to penetrate deeper into the skin.

HydraFacial for Acne-Prone Skin

The HydraFacial is essentially a more advanced version of Microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is known to help treat active acne and reduce existing acne scars.

HydraFacial for Blackheads

Dirt, dead skin cells, pollutants, and debris can all contribute to blackheads. During a HydraFacial, blackheads are exfoliated and extracted from the skin.

HydraFacial for Rosacea

If you have rosacea or very sensitive skin, finding the right cosmetic treatments can be a challenge. The HydraFacial is safe for people with rosacea or ultra-sensitive skin.

HydraFacial for Anti-Aging

HydraFacial treatments can help decrease the signs of aging, fine lines, wrinkles, and lost skin elasticity. The concentrated serums can help decrease pore size, reduce hyperpigmentation, and smooth fine lines.

Customizable Treatment Plans

HydraFacials for all skincare concerns are performed using our HydraFacial device. The tool resembles a large pen and does not pull, tug, or irritate the skin during treatment. Depending on your specific skin type and concerns, we’ll use the appropriate serums to treat your skin.

We can also offer additional treatment add-ons to help with other issues like aging, dullness, or uneven texture. Ask us about switching the serums used during treatment and further treatment add-ons to help give you the skin you want.

As always, your best skin will come by continuing proper skincare maintenance at home. Be sure to apply your moisturizers regularly to maintain hydration and any other suggested treatments made by the doctor. The doctor may recommend additional products with ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, salicylic acid, or growth factors, depending on your skin concerns.

Growth factors are natural substances made by our skin cells to keep our skin healthy. They repair damaged skin, provide firmness and elasticity, and help our skin keep the rest of our body protected.

Are there Side Effects of the HydraFacial?

We regularly perform HydraFacial treatments in-office at Infini Cosmetic Associates. There are very minimal side effects associated with the treatment and essentially no downtime post-treatment. Unlike harsher procedures like a chemical peel, you can continue the rest of your day as usual. Dr. Hall says patients can expect slight redness immediately following the facial, but the redness will quickly subside.

HydraFacials are non-invasive, and each session takes less than an hour. Most patients are most comfortable lying down. The treatment is not painful, invasive, or long-lasting. For most, a HydraFacial is the equivalent of a spa experience.

What Happens During the HydraFacial?

Not sure what to expect? When you arrive at your appointment, the treatment begins with cleansing, removing any dead skin cells, and extracting excess sebum (oil) from the skin. Next, a combination of salicylic and glycolic acids is applied to the skin. The acids help further break up pesky dirt and oil that’s plugging your pores. Then, the HydraPeel Tip vacuums out blackheads, oils, debris, dirt, and impurities from the skin. As the HydraPeel Tip sucks out all the things you don’t want in your skin, while hydrating, nourishing, and protecting serums are simultaneously applied to the skin for complete rejuvenation.

Your skin is left feeling soft, plump, and hydrated after the treatment. We suggest

HydraFacial Aftercare

Dr. Hall recommends waiting 24 hours before wearing makeup after your treatment. Following a HydraFacial, you want to allow your skin to rest and soak up the benefits of the treatment for the rest of the day. You shouldn’t experience any redness or peeling after your session, but it’s still best to stop using exfoliating treatments for 2-3 days after a HydraFacial.

We often get asked if it’s safe to get a HydraFacial in conjunction with other treatments like Botox, fillers, or microblading. It is perfectly safe to get a HydraFacial while getting other non-invasive procedures. If you plan to get Botox, it’s important to perform the HydraFacial before, since Botox patients should remain upward immediately following treatment.

How Often Do You Need to Get a HydraFacial?

Dr. Hall recommends getting a HydraFacial treatment every four to six weeks. While the brightening and hydrating effects are immediate, the tool helps improve the skin’s appearance over time. The results of a HydraFacial last longer than other facials. Continue with your regular skincare routine and other treatments to achieve optimal skin health.
